We spent the afternoon teaching 5th and 6th year medical students how to perform a DVT study for a clinical research project Dr. Oliveira will be performing in the emergency department at Hospital das Clinicas. Yes, medical school is 6 years in Brazil!
We started with an hour long lecture describing indications for the exam, treatment of DVT's, how to perform the exam and normal vs pathologic images
